Animal emergency service is a veterinary practice which has been dedicated to providing after hours emergency treatment for pets and wildlife. Both practices continue to provide relief for veterinarians who can switch their phones off and refer patients who require round the clock care to our hospital knowing they will be looked after to the highest standard available. In addition, animal emergency service extended its services to the gold coast, in 2008, opening a brand new practice in carrara. In private hands the hospital continues to have the same aims and goals - to provide the best care for our animal patients in a state of the art facility. The original shareholders sold the emergency practice to a private company in 2005. The synergy of the two practices was strong and the added advantage was that animals too sick to move or who required the intervention of a specialist surgeon or physician could stay on site with 24 hour care. This hospital was built in conjunction with veterinary specialist services - a referral practice of specialist veterinarians in the fields of medicine and surgery. 1990s - the practice was designed to be an extension of the regular practice consulting hours with all hospitalised patients being returned to the regular practice during the day. 2000s - in the year 2000 a new hospital was built on the southside at underwood. Pet owners can also feel more comfortable taking their pets home after illness knowing that help is available around the clock should they deteriorate.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced Veterinarian, who either loves this branch of veterinary medicine, or is looking to prosper their career and build upon their skills in a supported, training based environment.
