We exist to restore relationships so that people thrive in a world not only created but also living in God’s image. We work to inspire and collaborate with others to responsibly facilitate transformational development and relief projects overseas and in Australia. Experience represented on the aura Board includes international development, community and emergency management, administration, finance, legal, research and marketing. aura is people staff, volunteers, supporter and project participants active together to make an amazing things happen. Our highly experience leadership team labor with 25 staff to design, monitor and implement transformational projects that help people thrive. We believe that the world was created in flawless beauty and that life was designed to be lived to the full’. We trust that amazing things happen when people work together in truth and love to build a better tomorrow that they may never personally profit from. We believe every person on this earth was created in the image of God to do amazing things. By busy together with the church across the globe, we assist people to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to receive collaborative, ingenious action for a better world. All donations are old for program promote and additional fund raising, with the actual allocation remaining within a range approved by the Board and published in our annual report. In the 2015 financial year we allocated 5.8 of our expenditure to the essential administration, accountability and compliance aspects of program support, which include activities such as fraud prevention and kid protection. We allocated an surplus 4.2 of our expenditure to raising funds from the public and the Australian government. We inspire and collaborate with others to responsibly facilitate transformational development and relief projects overseas and in Australia. We seek to address not only the symptoms of poverty, but the systems and structures that cause it. We implement transformational development and relief projects both in Australia and overseas. During times of disaster we labor through the global aura network to respond in countries in which aura has an office, but with whom we do not have a standing partnership. We are aspiring to work with our creator to revitalize His ideal of a world without poverty. Our Board oversees the direction of the organization and monitors performance against the strategic plan. It has overall responsibility for the management of risks and compliance with legislation. Our leadership team meets regularly to discuss strategy, to ratify new projects and initiatives, to monitor and report risks and to manage compliance including safety. The strategic senior management team includes EXCOM and senior managers.

We see the needs and opportunities present in today’s world and believe that the church, with its strong networks, ability to mobilize volunteers and other resources, its commitment to justice and drive to love and concern for people who are suffering, is in a prime position to bring about positive social change. We are driven to labor with our creator to revitalize His ideal of a world without poverty. 20012002 aura provided funding for over 30 international projects with a whole budget of over 8.8 million in 28 countries in the South Pacific, Asia and Eastern Africa.

As costs of living increases continue to place pressure on family budgets, rates of family breakdown continue to rise. Demands for assistance through our Promote Services programs have never been higher. aura Australia provides promote services that ensure those experiencing crisis have the encourage they need to move toward independence. This impact area has four key components: Four Women’s Refuges that give a deposit of security and promote for women and children experiencing domestic violence. 36 Emergency Relief outlets which provide short term assistance for food and financial stress. 13 Community Meals programs that run weekly sit down meal services for individuals and families experiencing crisis and isolation. Four Community centers with counseling services to produce a platform for people to constructively tackle issues through individual and group therapy sessions. While our promote services act as a safety net for people in crisis, our intention is to produce a program that also supports them as they grow towards a more stable, thriving future.
