CATV is delighted to announce we have received funding from the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services, for a worker to produce encourage for women in the Redland area of Queensland who are survivors of Sexual Assault. CATV is committed to providing safe, polite services to help women and young women on their path to healing to labor toward dispelling the social and cultural myths surrounding sexual violence and to encourage the community to receive responsibility for the eradication of sexual violence. We hope this site will prove a beneficial resource for survivors, their family and friends, police, health workers and other professionals involved with women who have experienced sexual abuse. What you can do if you are Sexually Assaulted. If possible, find someone who you know and trust to support you through this firm time. Sometimes people try a few counselors earlier they find someone with whom they feel comfortable. Use a telephone counseling or promote service if you need someone to talk to, especially at times of crisis. Community Education sessions covers topics such as Health Relationships, Scrupulous Sexual decisions making, sexual assault abuse, sexual consent and safer partying. Schools and community groups are welcome to request community education sessions. The groups take store in a sound and confidential environment. In addition to the group activities, attending a group provides women with the opportunity of meeting with other women who have had same experiences to their own. The staff, management and members of center Against Sexual Violence (CATV) Inc. have a vision to eliminate sexual violence while providing counseling and encourage to the victims of this gender based crime. This includes a range of unwanted or forced sexual behaviors including rape. Sexual Attack occurs when someone commits a sexual act with or towards another person without their consent. Children do not have the skill to consent to any sexual act, as they do not understand the implications of a sexual relationship.
