Laurie started teaching learn to swim in 1966 but his passion for baby swimming was ignited when he started teaching his own daughters thirty five years ago. Laurie Lawrence Swim School (lass) is world renowned for its quality baby teaching program as well as quality learntoswim and stroke development classes. Today Laurie, a natural communicator, dedicates much of his time to educating the swimming industry on quality teaching programs. Teachers are regularly appraised to ensure they are teaching Laurie’s methods. Unassisted floating is vital in the learn to swim process. This means that all children can practice the same skill at the equivalent time thus allowing the teacher to retain their class moving allowing for more practice time. All lass teaching pools are undercover and heated with special teaching ledges designed to enhance the aquatic learning process. These ledges allow the child to thrive confidence and independence as healthy as develop a respect for deep and shallow water. I wanted to ensure that my boys had access to the same quality program that I was fortunate adequate to be apart of. I know that each and every lesson will see him flourish fresh skills that will give him an excellent base for water safety and familiarization. When we first started at lass Lachlan did not have the confidence to swim as he was pushed into the pool at another swim school and since we have been at lass he has gained that confidence back. It is a very family originated business and we are very glad to be apart of lass.
